Pixie Cheddar Pinks

Pixie Cheddar Pinks

Perennial

Bred at the University of Nebraska, this Blooms of Bressingham winner reblooms from spring into fall and will simply set your garden alight with season long color! A thick 7″ tall mat of silvery green foliage can quickly spread to 30″ in only 2 years. Soft pink flowers are held above the foliage and look as if they have been smudged with a Raspberry lipstick creating a pleasing two-toned look and butterflies and native insects flock to the blooms as they wave in the wind. Like all Dianthus, ‘Pixie’ is very showy but what sets it apart from others is its ability to rebloom…’Pixie’ starts blooming in spring and doesn’t stop until well into fall. It’s a plant that just keeps on giving!! ‘Pixie’ will do well in the front of a perennial bed, border or in rock walls or gardens. This deer resistant beauty loves full sun and well drained soils.
