Cactus-form blooms of ‘Pinot Noir’ are comprised of tubular petals that subtly shift color from bronze-orange at their center to garnet pink at their tips. A variety from New Zealand, it has very dark foliage. These hybrids of species hold their display in reserve for mid- to late summer and early fall. Dahlias like rich soil and even moisture. Where not hardy, Dahlias are easily overwintered indoors. Heat tolerant for southern gardens.
