Discovered by Bruce Briggs at Weston Nursery, this selection is notable for its small, pendulous, tulip-like dark red flowers that appear in late May and June.  Easy to grow, this plant, like all Enkianthus, is under used in the landscape and has great, year round beauty with superb summer foliage, riveting fall foliage color and even winter stem color that shines through the grayness of the season.
