Geauge Graytwig Dogwood

Geauge Graytwig Dogwood

Shrub

  • Native

A refined selection of Graytwig with the same tough, trouble free makeup, ‘Geauge™’ is taller, narrower, and more vase shaped than the species, but more than able to handle itself in the sandy, moist, poor soils where it’s tough to find any plant to thrive. All that toughness does not mean that this is a rough looking plant. On the contrary, it carries itself quite well with deep green, lustrous foliage, flattened heads of small white flowers in May that butterflies love, showy heads of white berries in late summer, and striking purplish-red fall color. This very functional plant is essential to birds for its ability to provide year round nesting areas and protection along with a great food source in the form of those white berries. Plant this selection in groups for a striking natural hedge or as a specimen in any sunny American Beauties garden.
