Kopper Kettle Peony

Kopper Kettle Peony

Perennial

This cross between a herbaceous Peony and a tree Peony produces a selection that is built to thrill in your garden. Strong, upright stems clothed in shiny, deep green foliage form a beefy, rounded bush in the garden with each stem carrying a large bud starting in early May. These buds begin to open in Late May and the show they’ll provide is nothing short of incredible. Buds open to unfurl a massive, 8″ diameter, fragrant, semi-double flower that start off colored a soft copper color with rose infusions and age to a pleasing soft gold color with burgundy flares at the bloom center. The result: a unique, spectacular color combination that looks and smells just as good in the garden as it does as a cut bloom in the house. ‘Kopper Kettle’ is easy to grow, strong enough to hold up its massive bloom without staking and will absolutely thrive in full sun and deep, moist, well drained soil.
