The small dark green leaves of ‘Lavender Frost’ offset the softest of ruffled soft double lavender flowers that cover this compact Rhododendron in mid-May. These 1.5″, true double flowers are held in dome shaped trusses 6″ in diameter and put on an unforgettable show. ‘Lavender Frost’ tends to be wide and compact when young, developing into a more upright plant with maturity. Plant ‘Lavender Frost’ in partial sun in the garden border or woodland garden and use it singly where it will shine as a stand alone specimen, or plant it in groups for big time impact.
