LITTLE SPIRE RUSSIAN SAGE

LITTLE SPIRE RUSSIAN SAGE

Perennial

Get ready for a full summer of bloom on this dwarf powerhouse of a plant that is half the height of its well known relative, but packs just as much, if not more flowering firepower! Stiff, upright stems with gray-green, small, aromatic foliage form a dense, upright bush that tops itself with long spikes of buds at the top of each of its myriad of stems. Cool, blue-lavender blooms begin to open in late June or early July and combine with its grayish foliage to produce a color show that is spectacular in its ability to complement other garden bloomers and in its bloom length that continues into September. Plant this in big drifts in a sunny, well-drained spot for a breath_taking statement. ‘Little Spire’ is drought resistant and deer resistant making it an even better garden choice. Hardy New American Garden plant.
