Redbud Hazel

Redbud Hazel

Shrub

  • Fall
  • Green
  • Orange
  • Red

This magnificent, and under appreciated, deciduous shrub provides the showiest fall color of any plant we grow. An added bonus is that the fall color will happen in partially shaded, woodland conditions. The color begins with tints of burgundy as the weather cools, followed by shades of orange and gold. Leaves finally turn a brilliant red before they fall as October draws to a close. A close relative of our native witchhazels, it blooms in a similar manner in early spring and possesses a dense rounded form that looks great even without the spectacular fall fireworks. It’s a perfect plant for using singly or grouped in any large, woodland setting in your landscape!
