Citrus: July Greenhouse Highlight


We’re shifting from houseplants this month to show off Citrus Trees! Start growing your own Lemons, Limes, and Oranges and reap the benefits. In addition to beautiful evergreen foliage, you’ll enjoy fragrant blooms and the many health perks of fresh citrus fruits!

Light Needs

  • Thrives in FULL SUN (think Florida weather!)
  • Transition indoors when temperatures begin to drop in the fall*

Water Needs

  • Water deeply and thoroughly in the absence of rain
  • Check how heavy the pot is – water if it feels light
  • Requires good drainage

Fertilizer

  • Citrus plants are heavy feeders! Fertilize once a month from March through November for improved harvest and health. Consider using Citrus-tone, which is a great option for all citrus, fruit, and nut trees!
